Last night was a blast! It was standing room only at The Diesel Filling Station in Atlanta for the Walking Dead Season 3 premier party. The Diesel is the #1 location for all the Walking Dead viewing parties and It’s easy to see why. Since 5pm yesterday, there wasn’t an empty table in the house. (I’m glad I got there early) By 8:30, people were standing on the sidewalk just outside the patio and had filled the parking lot just to try and catch part of the show on one of the many big screens.
Inside the club, it was organized chaos! The staff definitely brought their “A” game and so did the great MC who kept the crowd entertained as well as excited. Many of the patrons also walked away with cool prizes including Walking Dead comics, books, T-shirts and other swag.
Now, on to the review of the show. If your a die hard Walking Dead fan, then the season 3 opener last night definitely left you with that “holy crap!” and “that was so freakin awesome!” felling like it did for me. From the looks of the blogs and social media sites, The Walking Dead just had it’s best season opener. Call it a hunch, but I’d be willing to bet AMCTV breaks their record for viewers this year, but don’t quote me on that.
