One of our goals at Dead, Buried, and Back! is to highlight various authors of the horror genre and promote their outstanding work and achievements. Today, I bring you a 3 time Bram Stoker finalist and highly talented novelist, Michael McCarty. His short stories and interviews have appeared in multiple publications including Fangoria, Cemetery Dance, Starlog, and Filmfax to name a few.
My first introduction to him came via Face Book and through a mutual friend of ours 2012 Bram Stoker award winner Joe McKinney. Below is a brief Bio on some of Michael’s accomplishments.
Michael McCarty has been a professional writer since 1983 and the author of over twenty-five books of fiction and nonfiction, as well as hundreds of articles, short stories and poems. He received the 2008 David R. Collins’ Literary Achievement Award from the Midwest Writing Center and is a three time Bram Stoker Finalist. His recently published works include Liquid Diet & Midnight Snack: 2 Vampire Satires, A Hell Of A Job, Monster Behind The Wheel (co-written with Mark McLaughlin), Modern Mythmakers, Masters of Imagination, Esoteria-Land, Dark Duets and the Young Adult Book I Kissed A Ghoul.
Michael lives in Rock Island, Illinois with his wife Cindy and pet rabbit Latte, and is a former stand-up comedian, musician and managing editor of a music magazine.
Michael has written 3 highly acclaimed novels. LIQUID DIET: A vampire satire , his young adult novel
I KISSED A GHOUL . Here’s a link to a review of I KISSED A GHOUL http://www.nightowlreviews.com/nor/Reviews/Trinac-reviews-I-Kissed-A-Ghoul-by-Michael-Mccarty.aspx
and MONSTER BEHIND THE WHEEL.
Now, while your reading this, I’ll be reading Liquid Diet then chase that with Monster Behind The Wheel.
My recommendation is to pick up one of his fine novels, or e- book then follow him on Face Book . http://www.facebook.com/michaelmccartymedia
If my guess is correct, Michael will have other titles to offer shortly so don’t fall behind folks!
Look for a review of his novels in the coming weeks right here on Dead, Buried, and Back!
