‘Locke & Key’ picked up by Netflix

For the last two years, Joe Hill’s award winning comic Locke & Key thought it had a home on HULU. Recently though, the streaming service “locked” the comic adaptation out of their line up… but fear not. It seems Netflix found the “key” and has green lit the show. Per THR, Hulu passed on the show but it’s because of Netflix’s wisdom and understanding their key markets,(no pun intended this time) they’re giving Locke & Key a home. Speaking of home, for those who aren’t familiar with the premise of the comic, Locke & Key Locke & Key is an American comic book series written by Joe Hill, illustrated by Gabriel Rodríguez and published by IDW Publishing. The story revolves around the surviving members of the Locke family who return to their family home in Key House in the town of Lovecraft, Massachusetts. It is here that the Locke children, Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, discover keys that unlock not only doors but supernatural abilities as well. It’s the three Locke children who then discover a set of keys that they must protect from an evil being that wants to gain control of them.

Locke & Key is an American comic book series written by Joe Hill, illustrated by Gabriel Rodríguez and published by IDW Publishing.
There’s no word on when or where Locke & Key will begin shooting, but we’ll bring more details on the show as we get them.
