Who said zombie movies were dead? Well, they’re wrong! The Dead Don’t Die has an all star cast and while zombie fans eagerly await the release of Zombieland:Double Tap this fall, on June 14th, The Dead Don’t Die will arrive in select theaters.
The Dead Don’t Die screened at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival with a luke-warm reception then went on to The Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans on May 30th, where it received the attention it deserved.
Written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, the film stars Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Alyssa Maria App, Steve Buscemi and Chloe Sevigny to name a few.
In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive.
For those of us in Atlanta, it’s coming to the Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema, and several Regal Cinemas. Again, the film will only be in select theaters, so get your tickets while you can.
