Robert Englund best know to horror fans around the world as ‘Freddy Kruger’ from A Nightmare On Elm Street franchise will be hosting a new show on the Travel Channel. Yes, you read that correctly. Per the Travel Channel, The legendary actor is bringing thrills and chills to television with his new series, Shadows of History.
Can fact be stranger than fiction? Join Englund as he revisits the most frightening, peculiar and spine-tingling stories that made headlines in the American press. Each one-hour episode will be filled with tales that seem too bizarre to be believed.
Press release: ‘Shadows of History’ culled newspapers from America’s past to find documentation of “bizarre, mysterious accounts that seem too incredible to be true. With the help of historians and scholars, Englund makes every an immersive experience designed to raise goose bumps and quicken pulses. And every thrill ride is all the more terrifying because it isn’t the work of a science fiction writer, but originally a news article reported in the American press. The six-episode series will air later this year.”
