James Wan bringing ‘Salem’s Lot’ to the big screen

James Wan (Saw, Insidious,Conjuring) and Gary Dauberman ( “IT’ writer) are collaborating along with New Line Cinema to bring Stephen King’s second best selling novel to theaters.

For those of us who remember the TV series starring David Soul, this is certainly a project worth being excited about.

The story involves a writer named Ben Mears who returns to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot (or ‘Salem’s Lot for short) in Maine, where he had lived from the age of five through nine, only to discover that the residents are becoming vampires.

Per Coming Soon, Wan will produce Salem’s Lot alongside Roy Lee and Mark Wolper. Dauberman, who worked with Wan on 2014’s Annabelle and The Nun and is set to make his directorial debut with the sequel Annabelle Comes Home, will executive produce.
