Women in Horror Film Festival announces special guest jury for 2020!
The Women in Horror Film Festival has been hard at work, preparing for the third installment of the fest. Co-founder & fest director Vanessa Wright has restructured to include a special guest jury to assist in deciding who goes home with the coveted Lizzie award.
The Women in Horror Film Festival is proud to welcome the following, esteemed panel of guest jurors:
Actress & filmmaker Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
Producer Marianne Maddalena (Scream, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, The Hills Have Eyes)
Special Makeup FX artist Christine Ramirez (The Vault, Hidden Figures)
Director & Special Makeup FX Artist Robert Green Hall (Teen Wolf series, Fear Clinic, Laid to Rest)
Filmmaker Adam Marcus (Friday the 13th: Jason Goes to Hell)
Author, journalist & podcaster Scott Bradley (Screaming for Pleasure, Hellbent for Horror)
Horror journalist, Tori Danielle Romero, sat down with Heather Langenkamp in April for an exclusive interview, which will be coming out this summer through PopHorror.com
In addition, WIHFF will be moving from Peachtree City, GA into the city of Atlanta just in time for Women in Horror month. This means no event in 2019, however, this will allow us to seamlessly move the event to February 2020. The official dates and venue will be announced later this summer.
WIHFF is actively offering sponsorship opportunities. Current 2020 sponsors include Shudder, MBS Equipment Co., InkTip & Final Draft. For information on how to become a sponsor of the fest or for information on sponsoring a Lizzie, please email WiHFilmFest@gmail.com.
