Exciting news from Netherworld! Most Atlanta horror fans are aware that Netherworld relocated to Gwinett County and recently they took their first step towards opening their doors this September.
From the AJC:
World famous haunted house Netherworld recently cut the ribbon on its brand new Gwinnett County location — one that comes with expanded offerings.
Netherworld, which rose to international fame in the two decades it operated beside I-85 near Norcross, announced in 2016 its plans to relocate cross-county to a 9.5-acre site on West Park Place Boulevard, not far from U.S. 78 and Stone Mountain Park. The move was made official last week during a ribbon cutting at the 70,000-square-foot facility.
The haunted house accounts for about 400 seasonal jobs, officials said. And Netherworld’s new digs also include three “escape rooms” that are already open to the public, a “monster museum” and event spaces that will be available for corporate and private functions.
“Multiple outdoor entertainment options” are also in the works, officials said.
“The new location has given us great opportunities to evolve and grow,” Netherworld co-founder Billy Messina said in a news release. “We are excited to be able to create new thrilling entertainment options while still remaining laser-focused on producing one of the top haunted attractions in the world. The location was carefully chosen to allow for the expansion of the business while keeping roots in our long-term home, Gwinnett County.”
FearWorld’s Website currently has this posted.
