There’s a lot of excitement and anticipation for the upcoming Women In Horror Film Festival. It was recently announced that the founding members of the Atlanta based rock band ‘Collective Soul’ have decided to attend and play the festival along with the rock duo, 2 Broke Kings.
From the press release:
Founding Members of ‘ Collective Soul ‘ to Join the Star Studded Line Up at 1st Annual
Women in Horror Film Festival
Collective Soul founding members Shane Evans (drums) and Ross Childress (lead guitar) will be joining the Women in Horror Film Festival. Collective Soul’s song ‘Better Now’ was featured on the soundtrack of the film ‘Cursed’ directed by Wes Craven and produced by WIHFF special guest, Marianne Maddalena. Childress also had his song “Dandy Life” featured on the soundtrack of suspense/thriller ‘The Skulls’. Both musicians continue to work in music & film. Childress just completed scoring two short horror films this year and Evans works as both a film composer and sound designer.
Childress can still be seen playing live around the Southeast as part of the guitar slinging duo 2 Broke Kings (Stephen Wines & Ross Childress). WIHFF Directors and horror filmmakers Samantha Kolesnik and Vanessa Ionta Wright are thrilled to add Childress and Evans to the list of special guests at the 2017 Women in Horror Film Festival and welcoming them both to play live with 2 Broke Kings Saturday September 23rd at the Crowne Plaza.
