4. CONTAINMENT HAUNTED HOUSE: Although we haven’t had a chance to visit Containment yet, we’ve hard some great things about them. Voted #4 among Atlanta’s best haunts, Containment haunted house is getting a lot of positive feedback. ‘Space Gypsies’ reviewed them last year and said “They maintain a solid theme through out. The makeup, costumes, and effects are outstanding. The actors do a great job of building suspense and working with the audience to raise the stakes.” Rest assured, we’re looking forward to our “Contaiment” experience.

HOUSE ON HORROR HILL: Run by the local Jaycees in Roswell,Ga., House On Horror Hill is a great local haunt. I go every year, and although they don’t have fancy animatronics, the staff pour their blood, sweat and tears into every show. Georgia’s longest running haunted house returns in October 2017 for their 36th year. Open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Halloween. http://www.houseonhorrorhill.com/tickets.html

ZOMBIE FARMS: Although Zombie Farms is not in Atlanta, it’s only a short drive from Lawrenceville North and because of it’s popularity, we wanted to include it in our list. Here’s some details. The Dark Trail is approximately 3/4 of a mile walk in the woods, presented by Zombie Farms, select weekends in October on Friday and Saturday nights. Before starting on the trail, you will enjoy a unique experience found only at ZF – an old-fashioned storyteller. Nothing digital. Just a man telling scary stories around a campfire. When is that last time you did that? Then you head out on the trail. You will traverse a marked path that is full of scary characters, zombies, swamp fog, strobe lights, strange noises and dark imagery. The whole experience takes about 30-40 minutes. http://www.zombiefarms.com/tickets/
