For eleven years the Buried Alive Film Festival has continued to bring both domestic and international films to Atlanta. The BAFF is one of the longest running and highly recognized horror genre festivals, and this year is gearing up to be quite an event. Held at the 7 Stages Theater in Little Five Points, the BAFF is not only an Atlanta favorite, but it showcases some of the top talents in the film industry.
On Wednesday evening an award ceremony was held for the Sinema Challenge. Two awards one for best film and the other Audience Choice were handed out. Joseph Lavender and his crew at Blackflight Studios took home the “Golden Skull” for the best film. Walt Guthrie and his team at Iron Shadow Cinema won the “Silver Skull” for the Audience Choice. Congratulations to both of them and those who worked on the productions.
So come on out to this year’s BAFF. Watch some great films and cast your ballot for your favorite. Remember you’re not just supporting those films you’re helping to support the industry as well.
See you there!
